Advanced Pastoral Care with David Tensen

Drawing on years of experience in Inner Healing and Advanced Pastoral Care – both as a therapist and trainer – David currently has a limited number of client spots available for those needing help in their life.

People describe David’s approach as gentle, yet dynamic – insightful and helpful. No two people are the same, nor are the factors that influence their inner world. David greets every client with new eyes, new possibilities, and no agenda but to help where he can.

My Approach & Values

I am first and foremost, a human. I am flawed, just like you. My faith and values swirl from time to time but I have maintained a love and devotion for God as expressed and represented in the Trinity. My approach to therapy and counselling has changed over the years as my life experience and training have progressed as I have experienced life’s highs and lows..

My introduction to healing happened at the Elijah House Ministry School where I obtained a Cert III in Prayer Ministry and ended up as Australian General Manager. I discovered have an inherent knack for helping people, allowing them to move forward in their life, faith, relationships and career. I cut my teeth working at, and with, local churches in my 30s. I would see whoever come to the counselling room, whether it was church members or the public.

Eventually I focussed on supporting church workers, especially pastors and their families. I gained a reputation as a safe and effective space for many pastors and leaders – my gifting made way for me to travel (at invitation) all over Australia and Asia Pacific.

Individual Therapy

David works with individuals from all backgrounds. Offering 55 minute online sessions at AUD$150 per session, (approx USD$105).
Payable on day of consult via Bank Transfer or Credit Card.

David cannot provide services in acute or crisis situations.
Clients are asked to disclose any mental health conditions or diagnosis, in confidence. David is not a psychologist or licensed counsellor – therefore cannot offer health fund rebates of any kind or treat mental health illnesses. David cannot see people under the age of 18.

David also reserves the right to refuse service to clients or applicants without reason.

Group Training

David delivers training and group healing sessions for groups recovering from church-wounding and institution trauma – these sessions extend to church workers and members.
