In response to requests from friends and followers I am exploring faith deconstruction and spiritual wounding, but through differing theoretical perspectives.
This episode introduces Ecological Systems Theory (EST). This theory suggests that everything in a child or young person’s environment affects how they grow and develop and that development is a continuous process rather than discrete stages. By looking at spiritual and religious development through the lens of EST, even as adults, we can begin to consider how incredibly complex and nuanced our relationship with faith, religion and the church can be.
