Why is a mother’s blessing so important? Because so many people today never received good and safe nurture from their mothers, let alone intentional prayer and blessing from conception onwards. So much research today is linking the rise in anxiety and mental health related issues to unsafe attachments and early developmental issues that resulted from traumatic events with our mothers and carers.

Among many things, a mother’s love and blessing is essential for basic trust and establishes us to receive in a healthy way. No wonder Psalm 22:9 says that “You made Me to trust (God) while on my mother’s breasts.”

Over the course of this soaking prayer’s development the prayer was prayed over Natalie’s children but also adults in a prayer ministry settings.
