You will not perfectly possess God.
Not in this life of poorly lit pathways.
Besides, what would you do
if you captured God?
You could not tell the world,
that would be prideful.
You could not sell God,
that would be greedy.
You could not keep God,
that would be selfish.
Perhaps the point of it all
is to discover
the genius of Grace.
Grace has brought us into union
and noone can boast
of possession, privilege, or power.
It is like we were tripping over furniture
as we walked through a house at midnight, only to discover,
when the sun arrives,
that we are actually home.
Home in a cosmos
possessed by Grace.
